
Alla Cherkashina (1931 - 2018),
Ph.D., associate professor, at the same time in the
course of several years attended worksop of the member of MOSH,
graphic painter L.L. Antonova (apprentice of E. Kibrik), and workshop
of the member of Union of Artists of Russian Federation, oil painter
A.I. Skvortsov. She has also graduated from the School of Crafts at
the Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Arts, and VZUI (easel painting).
She works in oil technique, watercolour and mixed technique.
Alla is the member of International Artists Fund, and of “Irida”
association of women-artists.
She is a regular participant of exhibitions in Russia, and a number of exhibitions abroad: in Spain (Madrid, 1994),
Italy (Rome 2000, 2001, Milan 2001)
and in USA (Elkhart 2003, Indianapolis 2004).
Her personal exhibitions where held in Moscow in 1999 and 2004.
Alla was awarded a diploma of Second international bienalle
of Graphic Arts in St. Petersburg in 2004,
and diploma of All-Russia Decorative, Applied and Folk Art Museum in 2005.
Her works can be found in collections of Modern Arts Museum in Novgorod,
“Dolls House” museum in Moscow, a number of Moscow galleries,
and in private collections in Russia, USA, Spain, Italy,
Germany and South Korea.
